The third Salisbury Festival under director Maria Bota got under way on 20th May with a free aerial performance in the Market Square by Argentinian company Voala, fitting in with this year’s theme of ‘air’.
Highlights included the Nederlands Dans Theater and English National Ballet, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre performing Hamlet at Trafalgar Park and As You Like It at Old Wardour Castle, Sir Steve Redgrave and James Cracknell discussing athletics, Peter Snow discussing Wellington, and Chinese Acrobats at Stonehenge.
The Festival drew to a Close on 2nd June with the Party in the Close.
