Hundreds of people lined the streets of Salisbury to show their support on Armed Forces Day.
Led by brass band, the troops paraded down Blue Boar Row as the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, John Bush took the salute. The parade continue around the city centre, returning through Blue Boar Row.
A thanksgiving service took place in the Market Square, ending with The National Anthem.
There was no shortage of things to do afterwards, from eating and drinking to meeting the service personnel and seeing some of the tanks and guns that they work with.
Organised by Salisbury City Council, the event was part of National Armed Forces Day which was introduced in 2009 to raise awareness of the work done by Her Majesty’s Armed Forces and to give the public a chance to show their support.
